This course is designed for those who want to enhance their skills in the techniques and software operation of the Agilent Q-TOF LC/MS. The course utilizes a lecture format with instrument laboratories. Topics include tuning, acquisition, optimization, Worklists, MassHunter Qualitative and Quantitative software BioConfirm and hardware maintenance. Typically one live 4 GHz instrument is used along with individual laptops for Data exercises.

Student Prerequisites:
A basic liquid chromatography course such as H1186A, Techniques of HPLC, is required. One month experience on the instrument is desirable. Profile: An analyst or chemist who has responsibility for operation and maintenance of the Agilent Technologies Q-TOF LC/MS for routine and non-routine samples. A fundamental understanding of high performance liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry is expected.
